A Week Of Family Fun

This was kind of a crazy week, but it was a good crazy. We had Dan's oldest sister Anne in town Tuesday night (she was driving down to Vegas for a high school reunion). Then we had his brother-in-law arrive on Wednesday (he was here to recruit BYU students for his company). Friday Anne came back and Liz, Chris's wife, Dan's other older sister, flew in that morning. That night we all went to dinner, then Saturday morning Anne flew home, and Liz, Chris, Dan, and I went to the BYU football game. Sunday was church and then Chris and Liz flew back home. It was so much fun to have Dan's family visit. I hope they never hesitate to come back!

Tuesday night Anne, Dan, and I went to dinner at Chili's. You can never go wrong with Chili's :)

Here we all are at dinner. We decided to go to Macaroni Grill. It was crowed when we go there, but they said it was about 45min to an hour. Not too bad, so we walked around Riverwoods then took a seat inside the restaurant. We asked about how much longer and they said 10-15mins. No problem we can wait that long. About 45mins later, after each of us had gone up to see how much longer and about everyone that was waiting had been seated, the hosted came up to explain it was taking so long because there were 5 of us. They really only have tables for 4 and a few larger ones. We said we would happily squeeze around a 4 person table we just wanted to EAT! It was the most bizarre thing, it was like they had never had a group of 5 come in before. Once we sat down they manager quickly combined another table so we had plenty of room. Was that really so complicated to figure out? Oh well we were giving complementary appetizers because we had to wait so long. It was a great night and fun to be with family!

BYU Football! Chris and Liz were so kind to get us tickets to the BYU game on Saturday. Dan and I have yet to go to a game this year so we were pretty excited... until we saw the weather report. It sad 40 degrees with the possibility of rain and/or snow!! So we all bundled up, especially Liz and Chris who are currently living in Hawaii, so snow isn't something they usually prepare for. We went and had a great time. It was cold, but we were perfectly comfortable to the end. BYU won and we all went home happy!
